2016’s Magic Radio Audience Award has been presented to The Phantom Of The Opera, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s legendary West End hit.
The only Olivier Award to be voted for entirely by the public, the classic musical triumphed over fellow long-running hits Jersey Boys, Matilda The Musical and Les Misérables to be presented the award by last year’s winner Wicked.
The win comes at a timely point for Phantom, as the much-loved production celebrates its 30th anniversary playing in the West End, making it the second longest running show in London.
Featuring iconic songs including The Music Of The Night, All I Ask Of You and The Point Of No Return, the musical tells the romantic and frightening tale of a mysterious masked man who lives beneath the stage of the Paris Opera House and his protégé Christine Daaé.
Audiences can witness just why the show has enjoyed such a long and successful history in the West End by catching the show at Her Majesty’s Theatre where it is currently booking to 1 October. You can book tickets through us here.
