The Olivier Awards with MasterCard want to know what London theatre means to you and they’re offering spectacular prizes as incentives.
Brand new to the Olivier Awards in 2013 is its beautiful photo wall, where images and videos that celebrate how you feel about London theatre are being collected together and displayed for all to see, like a scrolling snapshot of what makes the London stage so special.
Adding your image or video to the wall couldn’t be any easier; all you have to do when you upload it to Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr or YouTube is to tag it with #oliviers and it will automatically join the hundreds of images already showing off your love of the capital’s world famous productions.
Each upload also automatically enters you into a competition, with a range of prizes on offer in the build up to the Olivier Awards. First is the incredible prize of two tickets to the glamorous Olivier Awards ceremony at the Royal Opera House on 28 April and entry passes for the exclusive after-show celebration. The winner of the first competition, which runs until 18 March, will experience the ceremony’s famous live performances first hand, be there to see the winners revealed live and soak up all the excitement of UK theatre’s most prestigious prize-giving.
So get thinking and get snapping. Whether it be a photo of you with your favourite West End star, a pic of you looking resplendent as your favourite character or something far more inventive entirely, a simple #oliviers will add it to the photo wall and put you in with a chance of winning.
For an extra opportunity to win tickets to the Olivier Awards, vote for this year’s BBC Radio 2 Audience Award. The only Olivier Award voted for solely by members of the public, the BBC Radio 2 Audience Award recognises the contribution made by London’s world renowned long-running shows. This year 17 productions are eligible, and every voter who shows their support will be entered into a prize draw to win ceremony tickets. Vote now.
