A World Elsewhere

This summer, the Olivier Award-nominated creators of Rough Magic and Midsummer Mechanicals invite you on an epic journey into the greatest world of all: the imagination.

Cass is a boy who finds real life tricky. Luckily, he can take refuge in his imagination – a place where stories burst out effortlessly, and he can be whoever he wants.

Inspired by tales from Shakespeare, read to him by his Gran, Cass and his band of imaginary friends have fought with kings, flown with witches, faced shipwrecks, ghosts and monsters, and dived into adventures of every kind.

But something is going wrong. The stories have stopped making sense, the adventures aren’t adventurous, and a strange darkness is creeping in. Finding himself lost in a Shakespearean Shadow Land, Cass must work out if he’s in a tragedy like Hamlet, a Comedy of his own Errors, or another world altogether?  Wherever he is, escaping is going to be a whole other story…

Bring all the family together for this funny, moving, and gloriously inventive celebration of storytelling, and revel in the worlds waiting to be told.

There isn’t a strict dress code for London theatre, so wear whatever you’ll feel comfortable and confident in. Most people go for smart casual - think jeans or trousers with a nice top, a casual dress, or a shirt and trainers. If you’re heading to an evening show, on a date, or celebrating something, you might fancy dressing up a bit more, but it’s completely optional.
Arriving at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time helps keep things smooth and stress-free, giving you plenty of time to collect tickets, go through security, and get settled in your seat before the performance begins.
