The National Lottery’s Big Night of Musicals is back and headed to BBC One on Saturday 25 March at 7:50pm.

Hosted once again by Jason Manford, the 90-minute special from Manchester’s AO Arena will feature performances from 13 musicals currently on tour across the UK or playing in the West End. As well as being broadcast on BBC One and available afterwards on iPlayer, you can listen to the performances on Radio 2 on Sunday night at 8pm, where West End stars Samantha Barks and Layton Williams will take you behind the scenes for all the gossip.

While we don’t know which songs will make the final broadcast, we know that there will be performances from the touring productions of The King And I, Six, Shrek The Musical and The Bodyguard. You can also watch hits from West End mainstays Hamilton, Matilda The Musical, Les Misérables, Wicked and Mamma Mia, as well as the new Disney production of Newsies.

You’ll also be watch preview performances from three shows opening later this year, including the brand new Temptations musical Ain’t Too Proud, the London Coliseum’s summer revival of We Will Rock You and a special performance by Michael Ball performing Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Aspects of Love. The celebrated musical composer, who turned 75 this week, is also due to make an appearance.

Be sure to tune in and find a new show, or 13, to use your Theatre Tokens on this spring and summer!
