Rose Theatre is the largest producing theatre in South West London. Founded by the late Sir Peter Hall, the theatre is situated in the heart of Kingston and opened in 2008.

Averaging over 150,000 visitors a year, the Rose enjoys artistic and critical acclaim from its own productions and co-productions as well as from hosting the work of renowned theatre companies. With an auditorium that lends itself to both intimate and epic scale productions, the Rose has established itself as one of the most exciting theatres in the UK.

The Rose presents a wide range of productions throughout the year, including musicals, dramas, comedy nights and concerts. As a hub for the Kingston community, they regularly programme a strong family offering, as well as education and community outreach initiatives.

The Rose Participate programme is home to one of the largest youth theatres in the country, offering training, careers advice and the opportunity to take part in commercial productions. The programme also offers inspiring and empowering workshops for people up to and over the ages of 55.
